Until the biggest Netflix series finale of all time comes, a lot of time will pass. After the production of the fifth season of Stranger Things had to be postponed last year due to the Hollywood double strike, filming has finally started in 2024.
However, the production of the last episodes of the hit will take even longer. However, the finale will feature particularly epic episodes, Robin actress Maya Hawke has now revealed.
Each episode of the 5th season of Stranger Things is supposed to be like a long movie
According to TVLine, the actress spoke as a guest on Podcrushed about the fact that the filming of the last Stranger Things episodes will take a total of one year. She revealed that the individual episodes very long and practically like individual movies should be.
Even the last episodes of the fourth season have become very long. Episode 9, for example, was an impressive 142 minutes long. It looks like every episode of the fifth season will be at least 120 minutes long.

When does Stranger Things season 5 start on Netflix?
Since filming is still ongoing, a start in 2024 is unlikely. The final Stranger Things season starts probably sometime in 2025 and could be released in two parts just like season 4. However, the extra-long episodes should compensate fans for this.
Recently, a time jump from season 5 was leaked, according to which the final episodes could jump almost four years into the future.
