Critics and audiences are currently celebrating the latest Marvel film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, an innovative multiverse adventure full of surprising guest appearances. After a dramatic cliffhanger ending, all eyes are now on the grand finale of the trilogy: Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse starts in less than a year and prepares a dramatic climax that does not have to hide from Avengers: Endgame.
When does the 3rd movie Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse start?
Similar to Avengers 3: Infinity War and Avengers 4: Endgame, the end of Sony’s animated Marvel adventure was announced following the success of Spider-Man: A New Universe, initially in two parts: Across the Spider-Verse Part One and Part Two. In the end, parts 2 and 3 got their own titles, even if the cliffhanger stayed between them. But we don’t have to wait long for the resolution, because Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse starts on March 28, 2024 in German cinemas.

Trilogy conclusion: What’s next in the Marvel sequel to Across the Spider-Verse?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse doesn’t have a post-credits scene, but it does fill a lot of threads before the credits roll hints that will show you how it will continue in part 3 (attention, it will follow Spoilers for part 2). Beyond the Spider-Verse will conclude Miles Morales’ trilogy, but another Spider-Verse spin-off is in the pipeline.
Like the Avengers: Spider-Man 3 brings everyone together as Spider-People
In the first film Spider-Man: A New Universe, Miles Morales first faced Gwen, Peter B. Parker, Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker and Spider-Ham. Across the Spider-Verse traded the last three in favor of new Spider collaborators Pavitr Prabhakar, Hobie Brown and Margo Kess. The trilogy conclusion promises to feature all of these heroes in an Avengers-like lineup as Bringing together a super teamto help Miles in Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Marvel’s long-awaited villain squad is set to haunt Beyond the Spider-Verse
In the cliffhanger ending, Miles Morales mistakenly ends up in Parallel Dimension 42, where the radioactive spider that accidentally bit him came from, leaving its original world without Spider-Man of its own. Here the youth meets his dark alter ego as villain Prowlerwhereby his doppelganger, unlike him, lost his father and was led down the wrong path by his (still living) uncle Aaron.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – Vulture vs. Miguel
Marvel fans who are listening closely to the reported news in the background will also be amazed at the mention of the Villain Squad of the Sinister Six pay attention These anti-Avengers were repeatedly teased and then not introduced in Spidey’s Marvel films: most recently at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro with the Green Goblin, Rhino, Vulture, Doctor Octopus, Mysterio and Kraven the Hunter. But nothing has come of the film The Sinister Six, which was announced 9 years ago. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse apparently wants to change that. Because with so many strong heroes, you need a headwind from many iconic villains.
Spider-Man Finale: The Spot, Dead Fathers and the Question of True Heroism
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, we learn that Spider-Man only becomes the hero we know him to be because he goes through life-changing experiences: “Canon Events” like the death of a father figure or the loss of a police captain. Miles Morales foresees the death of his soon-to-be-promoted police captain when he confronts villain The Spot. In the end, the dimension-traveling cowspot villain reaches his homeworld of 1610 while Miles himself is on Earth-42.
The big question now is: Can Miles still save his father? And more importantly, is he even allowed to do that if it would cause a rift in the universe? After he unleashed a similar disaster through an unauthorized rescue in the Indian Spider-Verse of Mumbhattan (Earth 50101), the Spider-Society tried to stop him in the showdown. But maybe he can save the universe and his father after all? Or Miles finds a loophole like Spider-Gwen’s, whose cop dad is no longer at risk because he quit his job as a cop? All of which Beyond the Spider-Verse will have to answer.
