ARMENIA: “UN SHOULD IMMEDIATELY SEND A DELEGATION TO KARABAKH”

On the other hand, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan spoke at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly. In his speech, Ararat touched upon Azerbaijan’s anti-terrorism operation in Karabakh and called on the UN to “immediately send a delegation to Nagorno-Karabakh to ensure the security of those in the region and ethnic Armenians and to assess the humanitarian situation.”

Mirzoyan said, “After the failure to prevent the genocide in Rwanda, the UN succeeded in creating precautionary mechanisms and made the promise of ‘never again’ a meaningful commitment,” adding, “But today, we are on the verge of another failure.”

In his statement at the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov stated that Armenia resorted to political and military provocations at every stage of the negotiations, and stated that the efforts to establish a solid peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia were the victim of Armenia’s revenge policy.
