Big mistake at Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact players have discovered a major vulnerability that lurks into the game’s Co-Op system, which can permanently delete objects in the player’s world.

Hacking and software modification in the popular HoYoverse RPG has been a big gray area with the presence of many private servers and it also allows players to change the game. HoYoverse has taken legal action against players who frequently use third-party software, and has also taken action against early leakers of the game’s content. Now players have discovered a dangerous new hack inside the Chinese servers.

Genshin Impact bug is pretty serious

While many players don’t know too much about the hacking situation for Genshin Impact, the game has a wide array of bugs over its nearly three-year lifespan. One of the game’s best-known bugs was allowing players to use Nahida’s still animation to fly. It usually gave access to normally forbidden areas in the game. But now, the latest vulnerability exploited by hackers is drastically changing the in-game world of players.

A few key pieces of information recently emerged from Genshin Impact’s Chinese servers revealed that a large vulnerability was exploited using Sumeru four-star character Kaveh and third-party hacking software. According to the report, the software allows hackers to use the character to delete large objects from other players’ Co-Op worlds. This means that objects are permanently deleted from the player’s world, and even reinstalling the game or using other devices will not bring them back.

HoYoverse has not yet made a statement.

According to reports, the list of objects that can be deleted using the software contains important parts of Genshin Impact’s gameplay. Other puzzle mechanics, such as Fontaine’s Pneuma and Ousia mechanics, can also be deleted, rendering players unusable to complete quests and claim rewards. In some videos, it can be seen that even in-game bosses like Childe and Azhdaha were deleted using the vulnerability.

While an official fix for the Co-Op vulnerability has yet to be confirmed, it is speculated that Genshin Impact’s latest hack will likely result in legal action again by HoYoverse. HoYoverse frequently sues both the game’s hacking community and many leakers. However, no statement has been made about this event yet.
