Big hit from North Korean hackers! Value over $100 million

It turned out that North Korean hackers stole more than $ 100 million worth of digital money on the cryptocurrency application Atomic Wallet.

According to the blog page of cryptocurrency analytics firm Elliptic, hackers have hijacked more than 5,500 digital wallets on Atomic Wallet.

It was determined that the hackers in question were members of the North Korea-based cybercrime gang known as “Lazarus”.

Estonia-based Atomic Wallet, on the other hand, did not make any statement regarding the incident.

The company had previously admitted that their systems had been hacked and hired analytics firm Chainalysis to investigate.

The United Nations, in its statement at the beginning of 2023, revealed that North Korea committed more digital currency theft in 2022 than in the previous year.

International observers say that the stolen money was transferred to North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs, which are subject to sanctions. (AA)
