The alarm came at half past ten on Monday evening.
A fire then started in a small shop and the fire spread to the building.
Now the detached building will burn to the ground.
Minimal spread risk
The emergency services assess the danger to surrounding buildings as small.
– The risk of spreading is basically zero, but we have smoke spreading in the area which is a little troublesome. But right now we think the smoke is going pretty straight up, says Tommy Wållberg, commanding officer at rescue center Mitt.
Burns down during the night
At 00.30 the fire was still active and is expected to be for some time to come.
– Forecast for approximately until the morning hours, before the police take over surveillance and probably do a technical investigation. It’s burning pretty heavily, and will probably do so for another couple of hours.
According to the police, a preliminary investigation into arson has begun.
No one is said to have been injured.
