Big fight in the derby between Djurgården and AIK – canceled

During the football derby between Djurgården IF and AIK, scandalous scenes erupted.
Flares and hard shots were thrown onto the pitch – and the match had to be temporarily suspended.

The football match between Djurgården IF and AIK had to be paused when scandalous scenes broke out in the stands. Several Bengals were thrown onto the football field. Shots were also thrown.

Referee Anders Ekberg chose to pause the match and the players had to go down to the changing rooms.

“If the use of bangers continues, the match may be canceled completely” shouted the announcer at the Tele2 arena where the match was played.

Pictures from the arena show how supporters and police clashed at one short side. Riot police also entered the field with dogs to control the situation.

Later, the decision was made to finish the match. The home team Djurgårdens IF won 1–0.
