The chef Björn Frantzénwhich is behind the Frantzén group and the Michelin restaurants Frantzén and Zén in Stockholm, has been on the road and the other day shared pictures from Dubai – something that got the baker Sébastien Boudet to react.
Sébastien Boudet’s criticism of Björn Frantzén
IN a post on Instagram has later shared screenshots from a private conversation with Frantzén, which begins with Boudet responding to one of the star chef’s stories with “grotesquely shameful”.
“And what do you mean now?” Frantzén replied, followed by several laughing emojis.
“That this city was built in the desert with golf courses and ski slopes and luxury hotels… On oil money and slavery…”, Boudét replies, to which Frantzén counters with:
“You know 80% of the world’s cities are built by slaves right?”

Björn Franztén has blocked Sébastien Boudet
Sébastien Boudet then states that he wonders what the chef’s source is for the claim and further means that Dubai was built by exploited people in modern times, in contrast to, for example, Rome.
“A little tip. You should think carefully before playing legal police on social media…”, Björn Frantzén then replies, whereupon Boudet points out that he wrote to the chef privately and not publicly.
Frantzén then calls on Boudet to follow him.
“You’re public and I’m just doing my job by following your professional account and keeping up to date on my own industry…” writes the baker.
“But you don’t know what you’re talking about. So don’t throw stones in glass houses. I make it easier. I block you and everyone wins,” answers Frantzén, followed by a happy emoji.

In the post where Sébastien Boudet shared pictures of the conversation with Björn Frantzén, he highlights, among other things, the problems with human rights in Dubai and then concludes:
“I think it’s so grotesquely disgusting! So no, Björn. I won’t miss your posts, but it’s so sad that you can’t take a little criticism.”
Björn Frantzén: “Will do my best to solve a table”
“Unfortunately, I do not have time to comment on this further as I am busy opening restaurant Frantzén for the season today,” writes Frantzén in a comment to News24 and further adds:
“However, I have noticed that Sébastien is on the waiting list at Frantzén for a table. Please tell him that I will do my best to try to secure a table”.
