Dozens of drones have attacked Russia during the night to Sunday.
More than 30 drones that were on their way to the capital Moscow have been shot down, according to the statement of the mayor Sergey Sobyanin. According to Sobyanin, there have been no injuries, but this is contradicted by reports in other Russian channels, including about a fire that started in a residential area outside Moscow when the remains of a drone crashed.
During the morning, air traffic was canceled at Moscow airports Domodedovo and Zhukovo.
Even more drones have been shot down over other Russian regions overnight. About 20 have been stopped across three different regions bordering Ukraine, according to the Russian military, which as a rule does not report any setbacks.
Pro-regime Russian war commentators on social media are describing the night’s drone strike as the largest aimed at Russia in the war so far, which is difficult to verify at an early stage.
