Big demonstration – demanding climate justice

Activist Greta Thunberg is one of many hundreds of people participating in a large climate demonstration in Stockholm on Friday.

– What do we want? shouts Thunberg in a megaphone.

– Climate justice! the crowd answers in a chorus.

Thunberg’s Fridays for Future movement, which has become famous for its climate strikes, describes the demonstration as a way to take to the streets to “put pressure on politicians and those in power to do more to achieve climate justice and stop using fossil fuels”.

Earlier this week, the government presented a budget that will mean increased emissions of climate-damaging greenhouse gases.
