Big brawl at school in Gothenburg

The police have received an alarm about a big fight at a high school in Gothenburg.
– We were alerted by staff who needed help dealing with it, says Jens Andersson, press spokesperson at the police.

Between 30-40 people were involved in a big fight at a high school in Gothenburg on Tuesday afternoon.

It was the school staff who alerted the police at lunchtime about the fight, which is said to have started at the school and then moved outside the school grounds.

“Heavy atmosphere”

The police describe the atmosphere as “heated” and state that both students and unauthorized persons at the school were involved in the fight.

The police have been on site and searched the area. Two people are said to have been involved in a physical altercation and a report regarding assault has been drawn up.

– But when it broke out inside the school with a lot of people in motion, it certainly attracted several curious people who chased up the atmosphere, says Jens Andersson, press spokesperson at the police.

Staff and witnesses have been questioned, but there are currently no arrests or suspects in the case.

– We have searched the area for a suspect or suspects but have not found anyone, says Jens Andersson.
