Jason Schreier, one of the best-known gaming journalists, knows from a reliable source that GTA 6 will be officially announced this week. A first trailer for the game is scheduled to appear in December. This is big news, after all, it is one of the most anticipated video games ever.
What does Schreier say exactly? The Bloomberg article said that a person familiar with Rockstar Games’ plans told him about the announcement. There will be a trailer for GTA 6 in December, to coincide with the games company’s 25th anniversary.
There should be an official announcement of the game beforehand, this week. What exactly will be revealed is not known. There may initially only be the name and some information about the location in which the new part of the series will take place.
Schreier himself has already asked Rockstar, but has not received an official statement.

GTA 6 is eagerly awaited by fans
What do we know about the game so far? Not very much. In February 2022, Rockstar Games officially spoke about GTA 6 for the first time. However, fans are clinging to every detail that can be found about the game.
In May 2023, for example, an indication was found in the quarterly report that “several groundbreaking titles” would be released next year. Of course, many immediately assumed that this meant a new Grand Theft Auto title.
Take-Two’s share price immediately jumped up from $125.26 to $139.90.
In September there was a leak with 49 seconds of gameplay, which has since been deleted. There you could see a seamless change between the two protagonists. The leaker pointed out that the graphics are already great, even though GTA 6 is still in alpha.
There was already a hacker attack in September 2022 in which data and information about GTA 6 was stolen, including video clips that have since been deleted. Chat posts about previous editions of the game were also found, which were very surprising:
