The President of the United States is urging people to “evacuate now” before Hurricane Milton makes landfall in Florida.
– It’s a matter of life and death, and that’s no exaggeration, Biden told AP reporters at the White House.
The president says monster hurricane Milton could be the worst to hit Florida in a hundred years and calls for evacuation.
– You must evacuate now, now, now. You should have already evacuated. It’s a matter of life and death, and that’s not an exaggeration, Biden told AP reporters at the White House.
Biden cannot leave the country
The Category 4-classed storm that is now heading toward the southeastern United States has been compared to Hurricane Katrina. Given its strength, Biden is now postponing his planned trips to Angola and Germany this week because “I don’t think I can be out of the country right now.”
– People are terrified. People know their lives are at stake, everything they’ve worked for, everything they own, everything they value, he said.
The meteorologist in tears
All of America is now holding its breath. In a live broadcast, NBC hurricane expert John Morales reflects the gravity as he breaks down while reporting on Milton – which is headed straight for Florida.
– I apologize. This is simply terrible, he says with tears in his eyes.
