Biden wants to give more access to Ozempic
Joe Biden has put forward a proposal to increase access to obesity drugs, such as Ozempic, in the government health care programs Medicare and Medicaid.
The proposal would give millions more Americans, who suffer from obesity, access to that type of medicine, writes the New York Times.
Currently, the programs cover the cost of drugs for people suffering from diabetes. For those not covered by insurance, the drugs can cost over $1,000 a month.
According to the AP news agency, the proposal could cost up to $35 billion in tax money over a ten-year period.

Now the “Information Act” is presented
Today, the government and the Sweden Democrats present the proposal that has come to be known as the “indicator law”.
The Tidö parties’ proposal for an extended obligation to provide information is about authorities and municipalities being obliged to contact the Swedish Migration Agency and the police if they discover that people are staying illegally in Sweden.
Several of the groups that will now be affected by the law are critical and call it an “indictment law” that will hit society’s weakest and would like to be exempted from it.
– These children and students need a safe place to stay, and preschool and school are the safe place, says Ann-Charlotte Gavelin Rydman, chairman of Sweden’s school leaders to Echo.
Even within the Tidöparties, people have been divided, where, among other things, the Liberals have wanted to pull the brakes and exempt healthcare and schools from being covered by the law.
At 10.00 a press meeting will be held with Minister of Migration Johan Forsell and the special investigator Anita Linder.
