President of the United States Joe Biden said on Thursday that he supports the idea of holding new presidential elections in Venezuela.
Brazil and Colombia have proposed that Venezuela redo last month’s elections due to suspected electoral fraud.
On Sunday, Venezuela’s electoral commission declared a president ruling the country autocratically Nicolas Maduro as the winner of the election.
The Venezuelan opposition opposes the renewal of the elections, as it considers that it has already defeated Maduro once.
