Biden responds to criticism after the debate: I’m not a young man – but I’m not lying

Joe Biden’s performance during the debate has been criticized. He was raspy in his voice, slurred and even lost himself at times. Even within their own party, the Democrats, critical voices were raised.

Now the incumbent president is responding to the criticism in a speech during a campaign rally in North Carolina on Friday.

  • – I know I’m not a young man. I don’t walk as easily as I used to, I don’t speak as softly as I used to, I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I’m telling the truth, Biden told the crowd.

According to several media outlets, Biden’s performance during the debate has created panic in the Democratic Party and his suitability as a presidential candidate is being questioned. Several heavyweight representatives have also demanded that he drop out.

    – I wouldn’t run again if I didn’t believe in my heart and soul that I can do this job – the stakes are too high, says Biden.
