US President Joe Biden is “much, much better”, announces the White House’s covid coordinator.
The 79-year-old Biden has the BA.5 variant of the coronavirus. He has received four vaccine doses and is receiving treatment, according to doctor Ashish Jha.
– He had a good day yesterday. He has an upper respiratory infection and is doing well. “We haven’t had an update in the morning, but last night he felt much, much better,” he told CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday.
Biden tested positive for covid-19 on Thursday. He has always had mild symptoms such as a sore throat and runny nose.
