Biden has a lot to think about when he’s isolated

Joe Biden has been in the shadows to say the least since Donald Trump was shot and narrowly escaped death. The ex-president and presidential candidate has been hailed as a hero by his supporters as he arrived each night with a bandage on his ear at the Republican convention in Milwaukee. The assassination attempt is mentioned repeatedly in the speeches and some of the delegates have even put bandages over their ears, as an act of solidarity.

The campaign activities that Joe Biden was supposed to hold in Nevada during the week have, for obvious reasons, had difficulty attracting as much interest as the drama surrounding Trump.

All eyes have once again been directed at Biden

However, that changed on Wednesday when the eyes were once again directed at the president’s shaky candidacy.

In part, a scathing statement came from one of the heaviest Democrats in Congress, Adam Schiff. After reports that he warned of huge losses in November, he finally took the leaf out of his mouth and called on Biden to step aside.

ABC News then reported that the party’s Senate leader, Chuck Schumer, had had a private conversation with Biden over the weekend. The president is then said to have been told that it would be best if he withdrew.

Several media outlets also reported that one of the party’s most powerful people, former speaker Nancy Pelosi, explained to Biden that polls show he cannot win against Trump.

A new opinion poll from AP-NORC was another cold shower, as it turned out that 70 percent of voters want Biden to step aside.

Tested positive for covid-19

In Las Vegas yesterday, a group of Biden supporters waited to see the president take the stage to speak. He never showed up, the speech was delayed and eventually canceled. The 81-year-old president had become crass and tested positive for covid, the White House said.

It wasn’t long before he was seen walking slowly up the stairs of Air Force One to head home. Upon arrival a few hours later, he was helped by a Secret Service agent into the waiting car, to go to his house in Delaware. He will now lock himself in there, in accordance with the CDC’s recommendations.

No one knows exactly how many days Biden will need to stay away.

But he has a lot to think about while he’s isolating himself.
