US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron showed great solidarity at the joint press conference at the White House in Washington DC yesterday. After Macron’s criticism of US trade policy ahead of the state visit, the two leaders were now in complete agreement.
Biden and Macron showed a tough and joint stance against China, which is taking an increasingly large place on the world stage, and against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In a joint communique, they announced two joint efforts against the “challenge” from China and a push on climate issues. They also promised continued strong support for Ukraine.
