With just over two weeks left for the World Cup, Elvira Öberg was hit by a cold that made her unable to train. The charge for the championship was therefore anything but optimal.
– I will not be able to have the usual preparations. In the first position I want to be healthy, Öberg has previously said.
But now, with a little more than a week until the biathlon party starts, the World Cup jump is back. In an interview with SVT Sport, Johannes Lukas says that the 25-year-old trained with the rest of the squad on Monday.
– We have put a wise and clear arrangement for Elvira so it feels very nice, says the head coach.
“Special situation”
Lukas also says that Sebastian Samuelsson missed a few days of training, but that he too is back when the national team is now gathered in Austria for training camps.
– It is a special situation, there are high expectations on the team. We can now charge with full squad last week before the World Cup.
