Skottheim has had a troubled career with injuries and illness, losing his A national team place two years ago and also a place in the development team until this year.
But Skottheim, who has one World Cup podium in his career, has not given up and is making a bet on his own that seems to be paying off.
Today it was a third place where she beat several well-known skaters.
– I had an offensive approach on the mound today and I will take that with me, says Skottheim about what she thought worked in Idre.
The 30-year-old was also unsure whether she would be able to start in Idre.
– I was here in Idre and got a fever and had to go home and cure myself. It wasn’t the optimal upload but luckily I recovered enough to be here.
The expert’s words about Skottheim
SVT’s new expert for this year Mona Brorsson liked what she saw of Skottheim today. And says that it strengthens the 30-year-old’s chances of being able to get to World Cup starts.
– This weekend is really important and it might be reasonable for her to get a place in the IBU Cup and perform well there to then get the chance, says Brorsson.
