Biathlon: Sebastian Samuelsson is praised for the move: “Very smart”

Hear Sebastian Samuelsson about the decision in the player above.

The competitions in Soldier Hollow in the USA next weekend take place at an altitude of 1800 meters and there is also an eight hour time difference.

Samuelsson shelled out extra to at least have a pleasant trip across the Atlantic.

– I actually bought a business ticket a few weeks ago. For me, it’s a bit about professionalism, says Samuelsson NRK.

“Sebbe has bought my place”

The International Biathlon Federation filled its own plane with athletes and staff where leftover business seats, worth around SEK 30,000, were distributed to the skiers at the top of the overall standings in the World Cup.

– I’m probably a little too unfit for that. Sebbe has probably bought my place. He has too good finances, and likes to spend money, says teammate Martin Ponsiluoma with a twinkle in his eye.

“Expensive”

Norway has six men’s top six in the World Cup and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold as the leader on the women’s side. They tried to buy business tickets in advance.

– We should not spend extra money on that. They were so expensive. We have many skaters at the top and save that money, says national team manager Per Arne Botnan to NRK.

Johannes Thingnes Bö tells us that he himself would have invested in a business ticket if he had not led the World Cup. Samuelsson is twelfth overall, while Ponsiluoma is eighth.
