Biathlon: Öberg fifth in the hunt start – Simon superior

From her eighth place, Hanna Öberg had impressed.

She shot full in both prone and was only a few seconds away from a podium place.

But then came the fateful third shooting. Hanna Öberg was noted for two misses and left the fence in sixth, second ahead of Elvira Öberg, but far from a podium place.

– I feel that I worry a little about them. I’m doing very, very well today, but there I lost focus a little, says Öberg.

However, Öberg shot full in the last shot but it was not enough and she finished fifth, 19 seconds from the podium.

– I am still satisfied with my race, says Öberg.

National team coach Johannes Lukas:

– Hanna is doing very well. She does a super race, but the distance before was perhaps a little too much. It’s a series she can do better but the other three were good, he says-

Julia Simon won with a margin of 46 seconds to runner-up Liza Vittozzi. Justine Braizaz-Bouchet finished third.

Elvira Öberg was eighth, Anna Magnusson finished in 19th place and Mona Brorsson was 39th.
