– I don’t really know what happened and have no real explanation. It was both high and low. I couldn’t do anything but had a good shot. It is frustrating when you have a good starting position and cannot take advantage of it, Hanna Öberg tells SVT Sport.
She hopes for a “small revenge” in tomorrow’s relay.
Öberg went out as eleven 58 seconds after leading Lou Jeanmonnot. After two initial bars in the first lying shooting, she lost to the 18th.
In the second lying shooting, two more booms came and Öberg was down in 30th place after four booms in total.
“Not normal by her”
– It’s not normal for her, she still shoots offensively, but that’s not true, says SVT Sports expert Elisabeth Högberg.
In the third shooter, in standing, there was another boom and Öberg was then 29th. In the fourth and final shooter in Stån, Öberg managed to put all the shots and made it up to 20th place. Anna Magnusson became the best Swedish as twelve with two booms after decent speed in the track.
Lou Jeanmonnot led from start to finish and after just one boom she secured a French double before Julia Simon this big French day with four riders among the top five.
Elvira Öberg renounced this competition weekend due to a cold.
