It has been two months since Börje Salming died of the disease ALS. The fall was a mutual farewell for him and the public during Hall of Fame weekend in Toronto and the Hockey All-Time Gala at the Globe.
“Unreal”
– It feels unreal. Everything happened so quickly. ALS is the worst imaginable disease you can get.
We understood that the disease was aggressive. But it was still a shock that it happened so quickly, says Bianca Salming. Hope that dad’s openness about the disease helps others in their fight.

– He was so funny and childish, that was the best thing about him. He could be a bit ridiculous and goofy. He was the funnest father, Bianca Salming tells how the time after father Börje affected her own life choices and about sharing the private loss with the whole country.
