(Finance) – Bialetti Industriea company listed on Euronext Milan and specialized in the production of coffee makers, small appliances and cooking tools, closed on 2023 with revenues equal to 141.2 million euros, an increase of 6.1% compared to 2022.EBITDA normalized it is positive for 19.2 million euros, up by 3.1 million euros compared to 2022 (+19%).
The Net income it is negative for 2.2 million euros (compared with a negative result of 4 million in 2022). This result is mainly affected by the increase in Financial charges equal to 19.7 million euros (16.7 in 2022) generated by the increase in interest rates, an effect partially offset by the profit/(loss) from discontinued operations net of tax effects equal to 3.1 million ( 1.8 million in 2022) related to the disposal of the Cookware business.
“We are satisfied with the 2023 performance, during which the group increased revenues and increased the gross operating profit by +19.0%, despite a macroeconomic context characterized by high volatility in the costs of raw materials and energy, as well as constantly increasing inflation – commented the president Francesco Ranzoni – The results are in line with forecasts thanks above all to a careful pricing strategy and rigorous investment control, as well as a recovery of logistics costs and an easing of pressure on the remaining operating costs, particularly related to the supply of electricity and gas. – continues Ranzoni – We look to the next steps with confidence, as the group has all the elements, experience and ambition necessary to achieve the strategic objectives in both the short and long term”.
L’net financial debt (including the effects of IFRS 9 and IFRS 16) at 31 December 2023 amounted to 108.1 million euros, a slight increase compared to 31 December 2022 (106.6 million euros).
