Bitcoin beyond the dream limit
The cryptocurrency bitcoin reached the dream limit of $100,000 for the first time on Thursday night, reports AFP.

The rise comes after President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday nominated financier Paul Atkins as the new head of the US financial watchdog SEC, which was interpreted as a flirtation with the crypto industry.
Trump has promised to fire current SEC chief Gary Gensler on his first day in the White House. He is frowned upon by companies linked to cryptocurrencies as the industry has been heavily scrutinized during his time in office.

He makes super discoveries in space for his morning coffee
Every second, one of the universe’s stars explodes. And every night, hundreds of explosions are captured by the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) telescope in California.
Of those, a handful are judged to be supernovae – among the most violent events in the universe.
Since the venture began seven years ago, ZTF has discovered and classified more than 10,000 supernovae.
Swedish Jesper Sollerman, professor at Stockholm University, is responsible for thousands of them.
“Due to the time difference between the US and Europe, I wake up to a new round of observed objects every morning. For the past six years, I have invariably drunk morning coffee while sifting through supernova candidates,” says Sollerman in a press release.

The resignation calls stem from Yoon’s decision to declare a state of emergency on Tuesday, a decision he was immediately forced to withdraw.
