Swap PS5 Pro for PS5: At Gamestop there is still a special “trade-in offer”. If you hand in a used PS5 including accessories to a chain store, you can purchase a reserved and paid PS5 Pro Save up to 320 euros.
This is what the PS5 Pro offers: Sony’s new console promises a number of innovations as a so-called mid-generation update. This includes more computing power for better graphics, more storage space ex works and software improvements. Because the disc drive can only be purchased separately, there is also a disadvantage if you want to use your existing PS5 data carriers instead of downloading them.
PS5 Pro impresses in the test – is it worth it for everyone?
This is how good the new console is: GameStar has already put the new Sony console to the test and tester Jan Stahnke describes it as the best console he has ever used – just ahead of the normal PS5 in second place.
Accordingly, the improvements are “clearly noticeable in almost every game”, but “never revolutionary”. This is noticeable through increased frame times and better ray tracing performance, which are referred to as “eye candy” and are intended to greatly enhance the fun of the game.

Is the PS5 Pro recommended? According to the test, the new Sony console is recommended for those who either don’t have a PS5 at home yet, are dissatisfied with the frame rates and resolutions of the previous PS5 or get enhanced versions for their favorite games. Everyone else could also stick with the PS5, they say.
In the end it comes down to how much a few more details or 60 FPS in a previous 30 FPS game is worth to you. If that sounds like a fair deal to you, then go for it.
