Bert Sundström: That is why Ukraine’s success with “Sea baby” is embarrassing for Russia

Ukraine has sunk or damaged about 25 Russian ships with the help of sea drones, writes The Wall Street Journal. In addition, “Sea baby” drones caused extensive damage to the Crimean Bridge last summer.

However, Russia has gotten better at stopping the drones, says Bert Sundström. Among other things, by building barriers that make it more difficult to access naval ships in Crimea.

– But Ukraine has gotten around it by modifying the drones so that they can instead lay mines along the waterways used by Russian warships. And that has happened with some success, says Bert Sundström.
