Amazon workers in New York state continue their fight to form unions within the American company. After a first victory a few weeks ago, at Staten Island’s largest venue, organizers are preparing another vote at another warehouse. Sunday, April 24, they received support from Bernie Sanders.

On the site Amazon of Staten Island, Bernie Sanders is welcomed as a hero. The senator, leader of the Democratic left, came to support the workers in their fight to create unions within the American giant. Because for these employees, the creation of the union at the JFK 8 site a few weeks ago is only the beginning. They want to expand the movement to all Amazon sites in the United States.

Bernie Sanders did not hesitate to denounce the methods of Amazon, accused of undermining workers’ efforts to unionize: ” I do not understand. During his visit, Bernie Sanders was accompanied by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who pledged the support of New York elected officials for Amazon workers. Crucial support a few days before a new vote for the creation of a union on another Staten Island site.
