Berlusconi died in June this year, aged 86. But up until now, the young women, who all participated in the media magnate’s so-called “bunga-bunga” parties, have received a monthly allowance of 2,500 euros, equivalent to almost 30,000 kroner – payments that will now no longer trickle into their bank accounts.
Berlusconi’s estate has declared the women “unwelcome” and is also kicking out those who remain in his residences, writes Corriere della Sera.
Silvio Berlusconi said, according to the newspaper, that the money was intended to compensate the women for having their names blackened after they appeared in court proceedings about the parties, which have been surrounded by a long line of unconfirmed rumours.
Berlusconi himself always insisted that the events at his palatial villa in Arcore were elegant dinners. Earlier this year, he was acquitted in a case where he was accused of bribing witnesses to lie about what went on during the parties.
