Warning, spoilers for episode 3262 on Monday, August 26
Joe is overjoyed: He has the most amazing woman, Peggy, by his side, he has the best friends and he has managed to make up with Malte. While Joe thinks Malte regrets his behavior, he is planning a bitter revenge against the biker.
Malte meets Indira one last time and she gives him a bag full of firecrackers to literally blow up the wedding party. When Malte shows his true colors at the event, it is already too late: he blows up the wedding cake. He is triumphant, but when he notices panic breaking out among the guests, he realizes that he has made a big mistake.
“Always left alone by everyone”: Actor Sam Bartz tries to understand his role
Male and female actors take on a role in the series. They always bring something of themselves into the character, but there are always certain differences. This is also the case with Sam Baartz and his role Malte. In an interview, Sam talks about the current story of his character in Berlin – Day & Night and how he would act in certain situations. The musician sees Malte’s plans for revenge as a Cry for help:
Malte feels alone and wants Joe’s attention. He has always been left alone by everyone and has always felt misunderstood. Because of Joe’s actions, the only person he feels halfway understood, Indira, has been sent to prison. This makes Malte feel even more lonely than before, which awakens thoughts of revenge in him.

Sam himself doesn’t think much of Malte’s desire for revenge. He likes to avoid stress and difficulties and would ignore people who make his life difficult. “If I have to face such stress, I always try to solve everything in a friendly and pleasant way, and I’m also happy to take a few hits.” In real life, Sam is much calmer than his character Malte. That’s why he finds it difficult to understand his actions.
For me personally, his behavior is difficult to understand, but I think that Malte is a bit of a wreck now because of all the things that have happened to him. TV & Streaming: How you can watch Berlin – Day & Night
