Acquitted by the courts following rape cases of which he was suspected for several years, Benjamin Mendy denies having behaved more recklessly than his teammates, even affirming that he was not the only one Citizen to take part in alcoholic evenings in the company of several women as indicated by the Telegraph.
“Several Manchester City first team players, including the club captain, were present at the parties I attended and organized, Mendy reported. We’ve all drank alcohol, had casual sex with women, broken Covid restrictions. This does not excuse my behavior, but I feel it is unfair for Manchester City to isolate me in the way they have done. The difference between me and the other Manchester City players is that I was the one who was wrongly accused of rape and publicly humiliated.”
