He is one of the guests of the Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse in Montreuil.

The little Mermaid

“In the depths of the sea live the King of the Sea and his six mermaid daughters. On his fifteenth birthday, the youngest is allowed, as tradition dictates, to rise to the surface of the water to observe the world of humans. Fascinated, she immediately falls in love with a prince. To seduce him, she agrees to give up her mermaid tail and lose the use of her voice…

This exceptional edition offers a new reading of Andersen’s best-known tale and presents letters from his correspondence, some of which have never been translated into French. Benjamin Lacombe takes a personal look at The Little Mermaid with an overwhelming modernity and sensitivity.” (Presentation of Albin Michel editions)
