The DC chaos will soon be over: David Zaslav, the new boss of Warner Bros. Discovery finally wants to Order in the pigsty bring the blockbuster forge. After a decade of back and forth, two creative minds have recently been announced to lead the franchise from now on: director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran.
They should not only bring new projects into position, but also clean them out. In recent years, DC lots of ideas accumulatedthat go in different directions, are now outdated or even work against each other. This mucking out particularly affects the number of active Batmans.
Warner boss wants to reduce the number of active Batmans
In the live action area, three actors are currently at the start different versions of the dark knight embody: Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton and Robert Pattinson. Although competitor Marvel can easily unite three Spideys in one film, Zaslav puts a stop to the Batman flood at DC.

“There won’t be four Batmans”, The Wrap quotes the Warner boss as saying, which begs the question of which Batman we have to say goodbye to. Both Affleck and Keaton were recently returned and are both slated to appear in The Flash (and depending on development, Aquaman: Lost Kingdom) next year.
But maybe that was it. Significantly more promising is Pattinson’s version, which took off in The Batman earlier this year. However, it is unclear whether this part of the DC Universe falls under Gunn and Safran’s responsibility. Last but not least, the two have no influence on Joker 2: Folie à deux.
It is conceivable that Pattinson’s Batman will continue to exist independently of the DC Universe currently being conceived by Gunn and Safran. So there could be another Batman protecting Gotham from dark figures.
