The rumor goes back to journalist KC Walsh, who works for The Direct, among others. Walsh claims to have seen Affleck on the set of Deadpool 3, as he confirmed on Twitter, among other things. The connection between Deadpool and Daredevil was then drawn by various media sites, such as Cinemablend.
Whether there’s anything to Affleck’s Daredevil performance is hard to tell at this point. It’s not unlikely. After all, Deadpool is part of the X-Men franchise, which, like Daredevil, belongs to the 20th Century Fox phase of the Marvel Universe. Plus, multiverse movies are trending right now, as seen recently with The Flash and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
