It was in September 2022 that the incident occurred.
A man in Jämtland then allegedly tore a belt, which was worth around SEK 30,000, out of a woman’s hand so that the belt broke.
The man and the woman have given different information about the belt’s history during questioning. The man states that he lent the belt to the woman a long time ago, which he forgot about, but then demanded to have it back.
Instead, the woman claims that she never borrowed a belt from the man, but that she made it herself.
The man denies the crime but is now sentenced by the Östersund district court to a suspended sentence with 40 daily fines, a total of SEK 4,800, for arbitrary proceedings.
