Belgium will extend the life of its nuclear power plants

After very long negotiations, Belgium announced on Thursday June 29 the ten-year extension of its nuclear power plants. An agreement has been reached between the energy company Engie and the Belgian federal government. According to its terms, the Belgian nuclear fleet is extended until 2035, so the end of nuclear power has been demanded by environmentalists for more than 25 years.
