The capital Beirut has geared up for the thousands of Lebanese who fled the bombs in southern Lebanon.
The authorities have opened up schools, churches and mosques to serve as temporary shelters and are working with aid organizations that provide various supplies, mattresses, pillows and blankets.
About 10,000 people are being offered protection, the state news agency NNA reports.
