Before the truce awaited – massive attack on Beirut

A cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah appears to be close.

– Hopefully we will have a truce tonight, said Lebanon’s foreign minister, Abdallah Bou Habib, earlier on Tuesday.

At 16.30 Swedish time, Israel’s security cabinet will meet to take a position on the proposal.

But a few hours before the Israeli response, the attacks have continued.

Largest evacuation order to date

At 2 p.m. Swedish time, Israel struck for two more minutes against 20 locations in Beirut’s suburbs, Reuters reports with reference to the Israeli army.

The air raids were preceded by the most extensive evacuation order to date, according to the news agency.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee says they are carrying out a “large-scale attack” on Hezbollah targets around the city. Hezbollah has also fired rockets at Israel, Reuters reports.
