Before the Olympics the city of Paris tracks down illegal

If you’re planning to attend the Olympic Games in France this summer, you’ve probably noticed: it’s difficult to find a hotel room or Airbnb at a reasonable price, even for one night. For owners, the temptation can be great to rent out accommodation, given the potential gains. Officially, 60,000 Airbnb-type tourist rentals have been declared to the city of Paris. Unofficially, there could be 20,000 to 30,000 more. So, to spot fraudsters before the Olympics, the town hall is stepping up checks.
