Xavier Yvon : When we prepare a news calendar for the year, there is one type of deadline that we write down straight away: the elections. On that of the third season of La Loupe, I have included parliamentary elections in Switzerland and the Netherlands in the fall, a potential presidential election in Ukraine in March, and there are also the Republican and Democratic primaries which will monopolize American news until the summer of 2024.
And then, there are elections for which we, French citizens, are going to vote: the European legislative elections, which will take place in the 27 countries of the Union next June. In France, it will be Sunday June 9. This may seem a little distant to you, but this election will immediately have an influence on the return to Europe, with burning issues to be dealt with. The one who knows these issues perfectly (and explains them like no other) is the Express correspondent in Brussels, Isabelle Ory. So I’m going to give him a quick call….
