Armand Duplantis is once again named the world’s best track and field athlete.
Now we get the explanation behind the success.

For yet another year has Armand Duplantis lived up to expectations and performed at the highest level. He has won everything and broken his own world record twice. “Mondo” continues to stay at the top of athletics, and among the people’s love and admiration.
Duplantis praised
After this brilliant season, Duplantis has, once again, been named “Male Athlete of the Year” by the international athletics federation World Athletics. It is the third time that Mondo has received the award, and the second year in a row. The first time was in 2020.
The 24-year-old was present in Monaco with his girlfriend Desire Inglander to receive the award at the World Athletics gala.

Tributes for Duplantis have poured in following his performance. One of those who praise the pole vaulter is Staffan Karlsson. He is chairman of Uppsala IF, which is the Swedish club that Armand belongs to.
– He has a huge heart for the club and trains with the others just like any regular club member, Karlsson tells P4 Uppland.
Nice tribute
Although Duplantis spends a lot of time in the air while practicing his sport, Staffan Karlsson believes that Mondo has his feet on the ground at the same time.
– It is fantastic to see that he signs autographs for half an hour after the competitions and really sees all his fans, which is great, says the chairman to the radio channel.

Karlsson also gives his view on how Armand became the best track and field athlete in the world.
– He is one of a kind. A very special specimen of an athlete, in a sport that is very, very difficult.
