Beat Sabers Meta Quest 1 Support Ends

Beat Saber will not be supported in Meta Quest 1 VR headsets until the end of this year, and multiplayer and updates will be shut down.

Beat Games’ popular VR game Beat SaberMeta Quest 1 will no longer be supported in virtual reality headsets by the end of 2023. According to an FAQ on the developer’s website, Beat Games aims to “raise the bar of what’s possible,” meaning they’ll now focus on newer, more powerful devices.

Beat Saber’s Meta Quest 1 Support Ends This Year

Beat Saber will continue to be playable in Meta Quest 1 after November 2, but there will be no further support for the game. As of this date, multiplayer mode and leaderboard functionality will be turned off and new updates will not come. The game and all downloadable content (DLCs) will be playable on other Meta Quest devices at no additional cost, thanks to the cross-purchase feature depending on Meta accounts.

Meta Quest 1, released in 2019, has been replaced by newer models such as Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro, Rift and Rift S. Beat Saber is considered one of the best VR games and continues to be updated with the latest Daft Punk and Hip Hop Music Pack. The game is also available on PlayStation VR and PS VR2 platforms.
