Nieuwegein – The beach volleyball players Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen (Nieuwegein) just missed the victory at the Elite 16 tournament in Hamburg. The Dutch duo lost in the final to the Poles Michal Bryl and Bartosz Losiak. The decision was not made until the third set, which went to Bryl and Losiak 29-27.
