“I am happy and grateful for this award which fills me with pride. I have always thought that the figure of the artist should not be closed in on itself, impervious to the world, but on the contrary the Artist should dialogue with the world, in a continuous exchange of human, ethical and moral values. In my opinion they are required not only to take part in collective life, but to be an example, help and support to society. Attention to social issues has always been part of my human journey – 25 years ago I already was Unicef Ambassador – and today it has found its natural evolution in the recently established Roberto Bolle Foundation to dedicate even greater attention and energy to social issues and in particular to the young generations, to their education, to the realization of their dreams, to the recovery of their ability to dream, a precious asset for the future of the world” he stated Roberto Bolle.
“Receiving an award linked to the moral legacy of Robert Kennedy represents for me and for ACEA a great honor and great responsibility. And it is precisely in the name of this responsibility that the Group has chosen to commit itself: internally, in the promotion of inclusion and equal opportunities, in the creation of the “Person Charter” to reiterate the centrality of human resources; externally, in a national water education project aimed at young people and schools.
Protect and promote the defense of a resource such as water, essential for health which for economic development creates an important link with the training activities that RFK Italia carries out in the name of a tradition that above all means commitment and solidarity”, declared Fabrizio Palermo, CEO and General Manager of the ACEA Group.
“We are truly happy and honored to receive the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italia award, which highlights the Foundation’s 25 years of activity for Ronald McDonald’s childhood in Italy and his 50th birthday in the world. In fact, in 1974 the first Ronald McDonald House was born in Philadelphia and today the Ronald McDonald Foundation is present globally in 62 countries. We want this award dedicate to families who in recent years have entrusted us with their stories, to the volunteers and healthcare workers of the hospitals with whom we collaborate every day. A recognition of our culture of promotion and defense of children’s rights, the right to health and the right to affection” he declared Nicola Antonacci, President of the Ronald McDonald Italia ETS Children’s Foundation.
“During my experience as Minister I saw up close how much suffering there is in detention institutions and I decided to build a foundation that could contribute to improving the living conditions of these people and to return better individuals to society. Punishment must not only have an afflictive function, but must also offer opportunities for growth and reintegration. The Severino Foundation aims to contribute to implementing the re-educational function of the sentence and to guarantee that every imprisoned individual can have access to tools that facilitate a new beginning” stated the PProfessor Paola Severino, President of the Severino Foundation.
