(Finance) – BBVA reaches the growth target in Italy set for 2026 two years early. The Spanish bank has acquired 580 thousand customers in Italy in the three years of retail banking activity in the country, approaching the target set for the end of 2024, equal to 600 thousand customers.
BBVA entered the Italian market in 2021 with a five-year growth plan that included the acquisition of 100,000 customers per year. In just three years, it has surpassed this milestone, the bank highlights.
“We want to be the first bank of reference for Italians, offering the best possible experience with a long-term proposition,” said Javier Lipúzcoa, Digital Banking Director of BBVA in Italy, adding that “recently, BBVA has introduced i mortgages, which “are going well”, and which, like the other products on offer, offer comfort and convenience to those who want to buy a home. BBVA finances up to 80% of the value of the first home and up to 70% for the second. The interest rates are very competitive and aligned with the Italian market”, concluded Lipúzcoa.
