Makineli, number 43 on the BBB electoral list and councilor for Lokaal Veenendaal, wants that. The main reason, according to him, is his refusal to recognize the “Armenian question” as genocide by Turkey. He believes that historians, not politicians, should judge whether it is a historical fact. According to him, another factor was that he did not want to apologize to the Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI) because of his position on the conflict between Israel and Palestine, in which he stands up for the Palestinians.
