Verleun has been active for the BBB for two years and has been party leader in the Provincial Council since March. The party received the most votes in the province. An important goal was to join the coalition, but that did not work. “If we had become part of the Provincial Executive, we would have had a different kind of responsibility,” says Verleun. “That would have counted just like other considerations when making a decision about my future.”
