Battle Pass – All about the price, the content and how it works

After its campaign, Diablo 4 will offer a Battle Pass that will give you cosmetic items and skins for your heroes in the coming seasons. Now, finally, more info regarding the feature has been revealed and we’ll show you how it works and what you can expect from the Season 1 Battle Pass.

What is a Battle Pass in Diablo 4? In Diablo 4, you will be able to purchase Battle Passes in addition to free seasonal content. These will provide you with cosmetic items for your heroes and mounts, as well as provide you with bonuses designed to make your journey through Sanctuary more comfortable.

Little has been known about the Battle Pass so far, but Blizzard provided more insight into the features, price, and even content in the May 10 developer livestream.

The Diablo 4 server slam will start soon, so we have the trailer here again:

How much does the Battle Pass cost in Diablo 4? The Battle Pass will offer three options in Diablo 4:

  • Free path – costs nothing and still offers 27 levels of content
  • Premium Path – costs $10 (probably €10) and offers 90 stages
  • Premium path, with 20 tier jumps – costs $25 (probably €25)
  • How does the Diablo 4 Battle Pass work? The Diablo 4 Battle Pass has a Free and Premium track.

Depending on what you choose, you will receive more or less cosmetic items. These items, such as armor and weapons, are unlocked for all classes across your account and on every platform you play on.

The system that Diablo Immortal pursued, with seasons that had to be purchased for each class, no longer exists.

Additionally, there will be Seasonal Boons that you can activate with the free Battle Pass.

    Boosters in Free Battle Pass

These offer you bonuses such as:

  • More XP from fallen enemies
  • More gold by selling items
  • Increases the chance of getting rare materials from dismantling items
  • Increases the duration of your elixirs
  • These bonuses are accessible to all players and can be activated with ashes from the Free Pass. Here Blizzard emphasizes again that it is not about Pay2Win, since every player has access to it, whether with or without a premium pass.

How do I level up the Battle Pass in Diablo 4? The Battle Pass must be leveled to get the items. In order to do that, you must earn Favor. Favor can be considered as Battle Pass XP. You collect it by looting and leveling, playing the campaign or completing seasonal tasks.

What does the Seasons 1 Battle Pass look like? In the developer stream, Blizzard has already revealed the first glimpses of an upcoming season and shown which items and armor you can get hold of. However, we cannot confirm whether this is actually Season 1 or a later season.

This is what Seasons 1 looks like with a higher probability

The armor is somber, with ornamental detailing, black hues, and skull-shaped helmets.

What do I get in the premium path of the Battle Pass? The Battle Pass offers you a lot of cosmetic items for your heroes. You get:

  • Two sets of armor for each of your heroes
  • weapon skins
  • A mount armor
  • A mount
  • emotes
  • And more
  • You can then earn these over the course of the 90 levels of the paid Battle Pass.

That was all the most important information regarding the Diablo 4 Battle Pass. What do you think of the pass? Will you buy this one or don’t you support the system? Let’s find out in the comments!
